EDM 102 & 103

My friend Bernie (quite and artist in his own right) asked for more drawings, and I am happy to oblige.

Forget that old chestnut about "not able to draw a straight line." I am clearly incapable of drawing a circle, to say nothing of three concentric circles. And I'm okay with that. Lots of things are "wrong" in the pedometer picture, but in the end, it is a pretty good representation.

The plug really speaks to me.

Are you using the Omron HJ-113?

HJ-150, I think.

Yes, I checked out the Omron pedometers and found out which one it is. Does yours count aerobic steps? I find that to be very useful.

Now, more than ever before in the history of humanity, if one wants to see a technically precise graphic representation of a straight line, circle or any other object, one can use Google Images, a digital camera or a cell phone to create a flawless image.

It frees artists to render what they see, like a visual poem (be it lofty sonnet or humble limerick). Of course things will be added, changed and lost as the idea travels from the artist's mind, to their hand, to the viewer's eye and then into their beady little brain. This is legitimately called by some "inaccuracy," but others prefer to call it "charm".

I've never enjoyed looking at a pedometer more. :)
