T has been wanting a new, more fuel-efficient, car for awhile now. I have been dragging my feet, not wanting to take on another series of car payments. Then I saw the new gold color added with the 2009 models, and "Ooh Shiny" pushed me over the edge.

Car payments are as American as apple pie. Really, really expensive apple pie.
I have this dream that we get the car paid off, and then start saving the payment money for the next car. Unfortunately, in a two vehicle family, it never seems to work that way. I envy you and your pervasive public transportation system.

hubbie and i have been discussing it, since his truck is 10 years old. however, it's still running beautifully, so we're letting it ride for now (i spend more per month in gas than he does, cuz i drive the family vehicle. all his does is run to work and b a)
together we make "silver and gold" LOL
I never expected to hear myself call a car "beautiful", but it really is.
